Tokyo Metropolitan Housing Supply Corporation: Fassadenuntersuchung eines 32-stöckigen Sozialwohnungsturms mit angebundener Infrarotdrohne
JKK Tokyo erprobte eine Fassadenuntersuchung per gebundener Infrarotdrohne an einem 32-stöckigen Wohnhochhaus des sozialen Wohnungsbaus in Koto-ku. Risse und Abplatzungen wurden gut erkannt, Fliesenablösungen überwiegend, aber Wärme von Geländern und Dichtstoff verursachte Fehlalarme. Die schwach besonnte Nordseite ließ sich nicht validieren, sodass ergänzendes Abklopfen weiterhin nötig ist.

Mit Drohnen
Nach der Änderung vom März 2022, die Infrarotdrohnen erlaubt, wurden die Stockwerke 23–32 auf allen vier Seiten in 96 Flügen über fünf Tage etwa 4 m von der Wand entfernt geflogen, mit Zweipunkt-Fesselung, abgesperrtem Bodenbereich und Beobachtern.

- False positives were caused by sun-heated metal railings, black sealant and different heat storage in steel, rebar and precast elements; expert interpretation and follow-up tapping are still needed.
- The north face had no detected delamination, so weak-sun accuracy could not be validated.
- Single-building trial of public rental housing (not an owner-occupied condominium); rooftop louvres had to be removed to fix the tether, and flight plans must be tailored per building.
