Afrika Selatan: aturan drone untuk inspeksi
Afrika Selatan mengatur drone berdasarkan Civil Aviation Regulations Part 101, yang sebagian besar ditulis ulang oleh 26th Amendment bulan Maret 2023. Setiap UA memerlukan sertifikat pendaftaran dan UAS Letter of Approval (12 bulan). Pilot memerlukan sertifikat pilot jarak jauh (RPC), dan pekerjaan komersial memerlukan sertifikat operator UAS (UASOC) serta asuransi tanggung jawab. Terbang di atas orang, atau dalam jarak 50 m dari seseorang, dilarang. Terbang dalam jarak 50 m dari suatu struktur atau bangunan juga dilarang. Aturan tentang struktur dapat dikesampingkan jika ada izin pemilik dan perlindungan bagi orang di darat. Hal ini sangat membantu pekerjaan inspeksi. Penerbangan di atas 400 ft, dalam jarak 10 km dari aerodrome, atau di dekat pembangkit nuklir, national key points, dan situs sensitif lain memerlukan persetujuan Director. | Registrasi | A UA may not be operated in South Africa without a certificate of registration and registration mark issued by the Director (101.02.4). The mark format is set in SA-CATS 101.
